Graduation & Dinner

Hello! Happy Monday to everyone!

I wanted to write this blog post about my cousins graduation last week.

If you follow me on Instagram, you saw that earlier last week, i went to my cousins high school graduation. She’s my dads youngest brother’s, oldest child. My uncle has 2 daughters, one of whose graduation it was, and both girls are around the same age as my sisters, so naturally the 5 of us are bffs especially since we’re all girls lol.

So i took the day off of work 😀 and went to her graduation! It was scorching hot, and we were all fasting, so it made it even more difficult. Her graduating class is 600 + students….which is mind blowing to me, mine was only 420. SO the morning was a very long one, and by the time it got to her turn, i was falling asleep. LOL.

Anyways, the ceremony was nice, and as all high school grad ceremonies are. Afterwards we went back to my uncles house and chilled for a few hours. Took lots of pictures and gave her, our gift which she loved!

I wore the dress, that i posted about a few months ago,  but i opted not to wear the heels. Since the ceremony was during the day and the arena where it was at, is huge and involves a lot of walking, i went with flats with this outfit instead. I’m glad i did because i definitely would not have been able to survive the whole day on heels.

My cousin also decided to hold her graduation dinner on Thursday night rather than Tuesday (day of her graduation) and the dinner was at iftar time at a Turkish halal restaurant. It was just with our family again, and it was a nice dinner.

I opted to wear a fancy outfit, but not a dress this time. I wore my newly purchased black long cardigan with blue pants, a solid white tee & my favorite statement necklace. This time i did wear the black heels with the outfit, as it was for a dinner party and the heels gave it a fancier look. The outfit came together really nicely and my cousins loved it, so i’ll definitely be repeating this again with some variation!
