Hello everyone!

Today’s post is going to be about the recent artwork i’ve purchased as gifts for my sister and some for myself, to decorate my room with!

So lately, in the past month or so, i’ve become obsessed with interior decorating, and following/liking random house/room pictures on Instagram. It’s so inspiring to see cool spaces and how people decorate their houses up, makes me so excited to do the same to my own place, one day iA!

But in the meantime, I wanted to add some stuff to my current bedroom, since i was getting bored with what i currently had hanging above my bed.

I wasn’t sure what exactly i wanted above my bed, so i began searching. In my search, i found there are quite a few people who do Islamic art pieces, decor pieces, and other art inspiring pieces, that are cute and can be used in many ways!

I was struck by an etsy page i saw for ‘Made by Ummi‘. She had some awesome pieces, but what really made me contact her, was # of sales and admirers she had! So many positive things people had to say about her, i knew she was my girl!

So i don’t have an Etsy account, so i reached out to her via email, to see if she could make some custom pieces for me.

The first piece i got done was actually going to be a part of my sisters + cousins, secret santa that we do. This year, i drew my sister as my secret santa, and along with material goods i bought her, i wanted to give her a creative piece as well. She is studying to become a teacher, so i figured the following verse from the Holy Quran would be fitting for her:

When i reached out to Made by Ummi, she was so eager and understanding and sent me a digital copy of this print in a matter of a few days! It was so pretty, that i decided i wanted to get 3 made for my bedroom!

Again, she did not disappoint! I just told her what i wanted to be printed, and this time i wanted all 3 to be shades of blue, because that’s my favorite color! Here’s how they turned out:

I LOVED them! My favorite one is the design one for ‘Verily after hardship, there is ease.’ It has been my favorite verse from the Holy Quran, for a few years, so I obviously had to get that printed.
The ‘Bismillah’ one is her most common print, so I wanted one for myself. And the last one is a quote i found online, just googling around.

I hung them up right away, and they looked so nice! I think these are a perfect addition for my room, because their religious, yet cute and so personal to me!

I think this was a nice first step to spruce up my room. I do want to do something else on my other walls, but i’m still in the process of figuring it out!

Anyways, make sure you check out Made by Ummi’s Etsy Page, follow her on Instagram and contact her for any piece you might want!

**Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram, because I have announced a giveaway of one of these pieces,  for all of you!! Don’t forget to enter**

Until next time, xoxo
