Hi guys!
So this is the last post of the two part series, about my outfits for my cousins wedding! Make sure you check out part one from last week, right here Wedding Outfits Part 1: #merebrotherkidhulhan
This post will cover the last two outfits, first for the wedding/baraat day and the second is for the valima/reception day. I think my favorite outfit of the whole wedding was the valima day outfit…you will see shortly why!
Wedding Day:
So my aunt who’s son’s wedding it was, got us all girls the same shirts + dupattas from Pakistan when she went there earlier this year. It was her gift in a way for us. The ghararas we are wearing below, are from my other cousins wedding from 4 years ago. So we all essentially matched this day as well, making us look like the bridal party. HAYYY. Lol.
This event is the ‘ruksati’ day, meaning the bride will come home with the groom/leave her family. So it was a bit emotional for my SIL and her family.
This day we all also got our hair + makeup done. The hair was done at a professional salon near my aunts house, which was super time consuming because there were 10 of us woman who needed to get it done. Essentially it took all day lol.
Makeup was done at Ulta….and i’m not too crazy about it. It was a basic/flat face, because ulta charges extra to do a more dramatic look….so my makeup this day was pretty standard.
Here’s snaps of the whole situation:
Hair:
The hair was pretty simple but pretty. The stylist first curled my entire head of hair, then took that piece in the middle and braided it over. The curls in the front of my face, were a bit annoying and kind of got in the way, but overall the look lasted the whole night pretty much!
Makeup:
Here’s my makeup look. Pretty standard, nothing exceptional really. I was not too happy with Ulta’s work, so i don’t think i’ll ever be using them again. Thankfully we had appts at Sephora for the valima, which turned out MUCH better.
Outfit:
So the shirts had the gold tint to them in the lines you see running up and down the shirt. They were a dull gold/kind of bronze/silver color overall, so the gharara on the bottom was contrasting the shirt.
I paired it with my nude heels i wore on the nikkah as well, you can’t see them here because the gharara obviously covers it.
I wore these new gold chand-bali type earrings, you can kind of see in the pictures (i should’ve taken a better pic of them individually) but they worked perfectly with the outfit.
And my gold/silver clutch + gold bangles. My mehndi looks so perfect and dark here haha!
Valima/Reception Day:
This is the reception day that is hosted by the Groom and his family. Meaning us! So this day we were all able to wear whatever we wanted!
So this outfit of mine was my favorite one, because i got to choose it entirely. We got these custom made in Pakistan again, just like the Mehndi + Mahnja suits from my last post. The lady who made this, did a fantastic job, i must say!
It is an Elan outfit, but for some reason i cannot find it on their website anymore! UGH! But it is 100% from them! I’ll just link to their main page, and you can explore their other work. Check it out Here!
We got our hair + makeup done this day as well, but at a different location. I loved this hair stylist of mine, she did a great job of the hair!
And makeup was Sephora, and we all know that Sephroa SLAYSSSSS. Loved it!
Here’s snaps of the whole thing:
Hair:
I knew i wanted an updo this day, since the previous event i got my hair set down. I love updos more and i love braids as well! So i showed the stylist a few pics of what i wanted, and she did a great job! The braid went into the back and essentially created a flower at the bottom of my head/hair!
It stayed all night and she didn’t use insane amount of hair spray, so my hair didn’t feel gross either! Loved it!
Makeup:
I told the girl i wanted a soft smokey eye and i gave her the colors of my outfit. I firkin loved this look and i got so many compliments on it as well! The wing she drew, is so fantastic! She used the gel liner by bobbi brown, so i need to learn how to use gel liners because that wing is better than anything i’ve ever made myself.
She kept the eye soft, it went from a white/silver to a pink on the outer corner. The lip color is by Kat Von D and a mix of two colors. The foundation she used was Nars!
Outfit:
Essentially the color of the outfit was perfect for my taste! The pink was a bit much, but i think it worked well overall! The work on the entire shirt was silver, hence the silver jewelry, shoes and clutch.
I loved this outfit though! It is subtle but super fancy, just the way i like it! The work is all hand made on the entire front and back of the shirt. The pants were pink with just design at the bottom half. And the dupatta was made of tissue/net and had white studs on it.
And that’s all folks! That wraps up this entire wedding! Let me know which look you liked better. I clearly loved the second one the best!

Until next time, XOXO!
All the clothes looked really nice and well designed. But I gotta say I really loved the trousers from your walima suit, the design on the bottom looked really nice. You looked gorgeous in all the outfits! 😘
thanks so much!!!<3
You look lovely! Wish I could find clothes like yours 😊😊
thanks! Custom made is the way to go, because you can get it made to what you like exactly! it is more costly, so i only do it for family weddings, but it is def worth it for that!
True that!I prefer custom made too 😊
