Belated Eid Mubarak to all that celebrated! Can’t believe how quickly Ramadan passed us…again!
This year, the fasts were definitely the toughest ones of my life. The days are increasingly long and the heat here in the USA is INSANE. AH! Alhumdulillah for getting through this month!
Eid marks the celebration at the end of Ramadan. Typically the day is filled with prayer, family, friends, food and fun! Our Eid like this year was like any other year really, however, this year, we hosted the annual family Eid dinner at our house! My dad’s extended family all came over for dinner, but luckily it was a potluck/one-dish type thing, so my mom didn’t have to do all the cooking herself!
I left work early the day of Eid to come home and help my mom set up, and went in late the following day too, because of how late i went to sleep the night before. NOW i finally feel well rested…two days after Eid lol.
It was fun and nice to see everyone again and eat to my heart’s content, and receive some eiddi!
Here’s a quick look at my outfit for this year’s Eid!
Purple is not really my color, i would prefer it to be DARK purple/plum purple, then it’s ok. But this outfit was on the lighter side of purple, so i wasn’t TOO in love with it. It’s definitely nice, but not something i died over!
This was bought from Pakistan again, can’t tell you the designer name off the top of my head. We got this when we bought the clothes for my cousins wedding a few months back, and i saved it for eid.
I think it’s the best mix of not too fancy but not to casual, just right! I prefer to keep my outfits for Eid somewhere in the middle of that, so it worked out perfectly!
Let me know what you guys think of this look! And share some of your Eid stories as well, below! Would love to hear how you guys spent your eid!
