Hi Everyone!
Face masks. Skin improvement, nourishment and healing. All necessary for healthy looking skin. Now i’m not someone who loves their skin, i’ve had my fair share of pimples and teenage acne, but it was just never as sever as some others have had.
Now in my 20s, i occasionally get the pimple on my cheek or forehead, especially around the time of month. I never really do much to it, and let it fade down on its own.
Overall though, i’m not really loving how my skin has been. Unfortunately, my pores are quite large in the T-Zone area, mostly forehead and nose, which really bothers me more so, when I apply a full face of makeup. I feel like sometimes my pores shine through the layers of foundation and primer i’ve applied, and it really irks me. Any suggestions of ways to reduce pores, are very welcome!
Anyways, awhile ago i did a post on Sephora Eye, Face & Lip Masks Review. Since purchasing those masks I never went back and purchased more, not sure why! What i did have remaining though was the Sephora Sleeping Mask – Honey!
Now i had heard all of the benefits of honey, prior to buying this. So when i saw this sleeping mask available, i decided to buy it!
How honey can help your skin:
- Acne: Honey is naturally antibacterial, so it’s great for acne treatment and prevention.
- Aging: Full of antioxidants, it is great for slowing down aging.
- Complexion boost: It is extremely moisturizing and soothing, so it helps create a glow.
- Pores: Honey is clarifying because it opens up pores making them easy to unclog.

Sounds like just what i need right? So i used this sleeping mask daily at night, for a week to see the results.
The sleeping masks by Sephora come in a pea pod sort of peel-back packaging, making it easy to use multiple times. Plus theres so much product in there, you’re totally getting your moneys worth.
First night-I wasn’t sure what to expect. The packaging and instructions stated to apply a thin layer over face, eyes area and neck and go to sleep and the following morning (if needed) to rinse your face. So i did just that. Luckily the mask is easy to apply and not sticky or gross in anyway. You can feel it slightly on your skin, but it’s not uncomfortable or a nuisance. So i went to sleep with a thin layer and waking up after that first day, it was barely noticeable! So i was glad that it seemed to ‘work’ and not leave behind any residue on my skin.
I noticed my skin felt smooth all day after that first use, so i was thrilled! I continued to use it daily at night.
Second night-Again I applied the same way and went to bed. I felt the same result in the morning, skin feels soft and definitely looks a bit brighter as well! The few pimples i had growing, was the areas I applied the most amount of the mask to. I’m seeing my skin clear up a bit as well, so let’s see if this mask can continue to help!
Third night-I’m now convinced that this is basically best for getting smooth & soft skin. Mine feels quite nice now! The roughness i had on my forehead is diminishing. I’m still targeting the application of this daily, on my pimpled area. I’m hoping it really helps reduce the impurities on my skin. Let’s see!!
Fourth night-So i ended up not putting the mask on my forehead area only this night. For some reason my forehead area was feeling really oily randomly, so i decided to not put the mask on that area of my skin and just focus it on the other parts of my face. Again–i can definitely feel the smoothing of my skin in a matter of days. There aren’t any other profound visible signs of improvement. I feel like my pimples and some of the leftover scarring from them has gone down, but i don’t know if i can link that directly to this!
Fifth night- Okay by now i’m convinced that at the most; this mask is making my skin soft. I have felt a bit of a ‘glow’ for the past week, but i’m not sure if i’m just hallucinating or wanting to imagine that. But okay lets go with it, I definitely feel like its bringing my skin to a better light. But let’s see how long this will last!
After the 5th night, i took a break! Not totally intentionally, but now i’m not regretting i took it either! Let’s see how a few days away from the mask will last me.
Overall i’d definitely recommend this to someone who’s just looking for a lightweight-easy-to-wear-to-bed mask. It definitely won’t harm you, and hopefully will just help your skin!
Let me know if you’ve ever used honey in a mask or this same mask! I’d love to hear your thoughts!
