Top 10 Shows to Binge Right Now!

Hi everyone! I know we’re all mostly in #quarintine right now and binging tv shows and movies all day long (well…if you’re like me you are). I’ve seen so many people watching similar shows as me as well as some different ones and seeing that I actually already keep lists of shows i’ve watched in my planner, figured i’d share some of my top picks for you during this hard time!

Some of my top 10 shows that you should watch right now!

  1. YOU (Netflix)
Season 1 came out end of 2018 and season 2 just a few months ago. I’m sure you have seen this all-over social media, because Penn Badgley first as GG and now as Joe, kills it in this role. It’s hard not to get a bit paranoid after watching this show though, wondering if you have a stalker or closing your doors just a little bit tighter every day. Nonetheless, the suspense and what he’s going to do next, make this show so worth watching! I do hope Netflix doesn’t milk this for endless seasons, and maybe after one more, we can be done with this.
  2. Dead to me (Netflix)
This show is actually not something I would typically gravitate towards because the humor in it is a bit crude for me, however, my sisters and cousins all were watching it and highly recommended and it’s rare for all 5 of us to watch and enjoy something equally. So, I gave it a shot and was pleasantly surprised. This show discusses heavy topics such as death and dealing with loss, but with almost a different view of it. The ending leaves you with a shock so I can’t wait for season 2!
  3. Modern love (Amazon Prime)
This was the cutest mini-series ever! Each episode shows a different love story with different characters, and some of the episodes were my absolute favorite! The way they ended it too was so unique and clever tying all 8 episodes together. I binged this in 1 weekend and I’d so recommend watching this with your girlfriends for a good laugh (and cry) and everything in between.
  4. Unbelievable (Netflix)
This is one of the most recommended shows I give people when they ask me what to watch. It’s a mini-series as well, but so so so good. It is heavy though, so be ready for some emotions watching this. The 2 badass cops are on the hunt for a serial rapist and the heart wrenching stories of the victims makes it so sad but worth watching as the ending is actually a positive one.
  5. This is us (NBC/Hulu)
This has been going on for years but will stay on my list until it ends. Such a good show even after few seasons. At this point, the characters feel like family and they still do a good job of keeping you on the edge of your seat and wondering what happens next. I believe Hulu has all of the seasons now (?), I used to watch it live on NBC for years, and then switched to Hulu once I got married. This is one of the shows I got my husband into and probably one of the only chick-ish shows he’ll watch with me because it truly is a family show! Can’t wait for the next season in a few weeks!
  6. Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (Prime)
We literally just finished this a few weeks ago! Such a great show. So far 3 seasons, and I think I liked the 1st and 2nd the most. The ending of the 3rd was good though. This show does a great job combining comedy, romance, drama and 60s. I wouldn’t typically lean towards a show like this, but we heard so many good things, so we gave it a try and definitely don’t regret it. The acting is superb as well as the fashion, which really help the show move!
  7. The Bold Type (Freeform and Hulu)
I love this show! Its all about a group of 3 girlfriends in their mid-20s, working for a fashion magazine in New York. Literally their lives at work is something I DREAM of! There’s a bit of a Devils Wear Prada flair to it but super relatable too for any of us in the earlier ages of our career.
  8. Little Fires Everywhere (Hulu)
This is based on a book (that I have not read), and Reese Witherspoon + Kerry Washington make a Steller cast! This just came out few weeks ago, so it’s still a fresh show. So far, we know that Reese lives that ‘perfect’ suburban mom life and Kerry enters with a mysterious past but ends up working for Reese’s family. I can’t wait to see what happens next!
  9. Ozark (Netflix)
This is the time to catch up on the first two seasons! Third season JUST came out a few days ago! This centers around an average family where the dad, then both parents, get involved with money laundering for a cartel. It’s an eerie darker show but something definitely worth watching and can be easily binge able!
  10. Love is Blind (Netflix)
I bet you’ve seen this one alllll over the internet the last few weeks. I was so skeptical of it at first because I don’t really do any reality tv besides the Kardashians. But something about this show hooks you! You just want to make fun of the people on it, at the same time, you’re rooting for some of the couples to actually make it! It’s a dating show really and in the end if people make it in the real world, they can get married. Lol wild, but I’d recommend watching it especially if you’re cooped up during this quarantine!

Alright y’all – those are my recs. It’s a nice mix of fun, serious, crazy and entertainment we all need right now!

Let me know if you’ve seen any of these or are watching anything else right now, I’d love to know!
